We moved Lily to Kimbers in August 2012 and it is the best decision we have made. Part livery is fantastic as it means Emma can keep up with her studies and still ride. Joe, Kerry and Amy have helped bring Emma and Lily on and so will be attempting Newcomers soon. We wouldn't be at this level without them, they are a great team.

I work long hours and needed a yard that I could trust to school and look after my horse. Kimbers has been fantastic and I no longer worry even if I haven't been up to ride for a couple of weeks. The Kimbers team are knowledgeable, will call you straight away if there is a problem, update your thoroughly when you call or go to the yard, take the initiative and don't add extra charges for their care/help to my full livery bill. Some examples of this are:

  • finding stable bandages in my storage my trunk and putting them on her at night as they'd noticed she had started to get stiff in the mornings
  • using one of their spare rugs when the weather suddenly turned colder and I hadn't left a suitable one at the yard
  • organising and assisting with the vet

So for peace of mind and a yard with a great atmosphere where everyone gets along I'd highly recommend Kimbers.

"Having had my horse on DIY for many years, I was apprehensive joining Kimbers Farm, however, I have to say I couldn’t have wished for a better yard.  Not only did my horse improve, but I met some fantastic people who are still friends today.  I stayed 11 years and would never have left if I’d not been made redundant.  Miss you all loads - hope to come back one day!"

"Well what can I say? Having sampled many livery yards during the course of my horsey life I can honestly say that, given the choice, I’d pick Kimbers Farm every time! From caring for my ‘old boy’ to bringing on my youngster they couldn’t be in better hands. As you know geography is a problem for us right now but rest assured …we’ll be back!!"

"To Joe, Amy & the gang – thank you for all your help with Harmony. She loved it at the yard and bet she is going to miss it just as much as me! Love you all – please keep in touch.

To everyone at Kimbers, thank you for everything you have done for Harry since he’s been here. Wish you every success for the future.

Joe & the team – thank you so much for all your help with looking after my first horse. Love

"Joe has trained and cared for two of my show jumping horses, due to me being out of action for one reason or another. He is honest, considerate and talented and his professional caring attitude is shown to every horse he comes into contact with.

Joe has brought both my horses on from BSJA Discovery level to winning Newcomers and now competing in Foxhunter.

Having Joe care for and compete my horses gave me peace of mind and reassurance that they would be reaching their potential in a secure, professional and friendly yard.

Since having my horses back, I continue to have show jumping lessons with Joe which has proved very beneficial as he now knows my horses inside out.
I would never think twice as to where I would send my horses if out of action again. "

"I recently sold my horse through the services offered by Joe Davy at Kimbers Farm. From the outset I was very impressed by the yards facilities, and Joe’s knowledge and experience.
My horse was sold for the full asking price and with new owners within 4 weeks of advertising. During this time he was ridden 6 days a week by Joe and his experienced staff, and shown expertly to prospective buyers. Joe kept me well informed of viewings taking place and feedback.
My horse was very well cared for and I felt very welcome whenever I visited – incidentally Joe makes a really good cup of tea too!

Joe made the whole process of selling my horse stress free. He was professional in his approach and freely gave good advice and honest opinions when I sought them. The buyers told me that they too found the experience of buying positive and that Joe had been very accommodating to their requests.

On a more sentimental note, selling my horse was a difficult decision; he was a much loved horse who had given me so much pleasure. Joe was sensitive to this and very supportive.

I would not hesitate to recommend the service of Joe Davy or Kimbers Farm Livery Centre to anyone. Joe has my contact details if anyone would like to speak to me in person."
